I know girls love to share everything with their girlfriends and soul sisters, but when it comes to sharing beauty products, you have to be careful. Even if you are the type of person who cannot say “NO” to your best friend, sometimes you need to break that boundary and let her know that some things are not meant to be shared. If she doesn’t believe it, you better show her this article so she doesn’t think you are being a terrible friend. Should I get started?
NEVER BORROW THESE BEAUTY PRODUCTS:
It is never good to share things that have been on your lips or mouth. When you share lip products, it is very frequent that different viral diseases could have been there, such as oral herpes (the most common one) and even the most basic flu. If you go to a beauty store, do not think about trying out their lipstick testers.
2) Eye liner or mascara
It is extremely easy for your eyes to catch an infection and even if you don’t think about it, our eyelashes can have infinite bacteria that might cause further problems. Borrowing your eyeliner or mascara can be a risk, so you need to be careful about that. It doesn’t matter if you know this person from a very long time, this is a personal product you should not be sharing with anyone.
3) Makeup brushes
Makeup brushes can hold thousands of bacteria and germs. When you share your brush or sponge, your face or neck will carry over all the bad things from one skin to the other. By borrowing your makeup brushes you can take the risk of suffering from pimples, acne, infections, allergies and other problems.
I think there is no need for me to tell you that you shouldn’t share your toothbrush. Besides being disgusting, just like with the lipstick situation, many viruses can be transmitted through the mouth.
You can actually share your spray deodorant, but when it comes to other presentations, do NOT do it. Armpits are a delicate area of your body where many bacteria accumulate from sweat, shaving, etc. Do not lend your deodorant if you don’t want someone else’s germs on your body.
Do not share things that can get your blood out! Razors can be just like needles or syringes, meaning they have to be new for you to use them. This product can simply reach cut off blood and spread any disease or virus, so next time you forget your razor, you better purchase a new one.
