How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is often casual, perhaps because of my job. However, I like to go a little further with colors – light colors, without overdoing it. I also like to add accessories like a pocket handkerchief, a silk scarf when traveling to countries with slightly cooler climate or just wearing a watch.

2) Do you follow trends? And what is the trend that you like the most in these recent years?

I wouldn’t define myself as a follower of trends. By having a formal style I usually opt for the classic, but that doesn’t imply that the classic does not have a trend.

For example, in recent years, the overlapping sets in male attires came back. I have liked this trend for a long time because it is so elegant and vintage. It is worth saying that it is not the overlapping sets from the 50s films, but a more modern and fit overlapping set.

I believe that Esquire and The Sartorialist are excelent guides for men who like formal styles.

3) Since you’ve traveled a lot, what particular country has caught your attention regarding fashion and style?

A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a long time studying in Italy, so that definitely marked my fashion sense of style.

Italians breathe fashion in their various expressions. People often talk about Paris or London, but to me all Italian cities, including Milan, Florence and Rome are the true style and elegance fashion capitals.

4) Going back to your career, you are known for being a young and dynamic entrepreneur, will we ever see you as the leader of an important project? Or do you have any projects in mind?

Priscilla, thanks for the compliments. From a young age I have been part of various projects that I considered important, one that has filled me with pride is being a member of the Nicaraguan Institute of Hispanic Culture (INCH), which is certainly the institution of cultural promotion of greater prestige in Nicaragua. Currently I am a member of its national board and in previous years I chaired the Masayas chapter, where we promoted national culture in its various expressions.

As you also know, I worked for a few years on the subject of international relations with Europe, but on 2015 I will be working on a subject that fascinates me, the Central American regional integration, where I hope to contribute and learn.

5) What tools led to your success?

I don’t know if I should call them tools, but I have been fortunate to have a family that supports me in my plans, no matter how rare, outlandish or impossible they look.

Success, like almost everything is relative. The best tool to achieve this is to avoid mediocrity and to persevere.
